Wet Pour Playground Safety Surfacing
Surfaces
Wet Pour Rubber Safety Surfacing is suitable for all playground equipment where impact absorbent playground surfacing is a requirement, up to the appropriate Maximum Free Fall Height. It can be used around complex configurations of playground equipment and ground contours.
Wet Pour for playground surfaces is slip-resistant and non-abrasive to young limbs. It is porous, so puddles, which can create slippery conditions in the winter, do not form.
Colourful graphics can be created within the Wet Pour rubber playground surfacing to any attractive theme you may choose in order to enhance and add considerable play value to your area. Games can also be added such as hopscotch, snakes and ladders, alphabet snakes, etc.
Bases
Our Wet Pour rubber playground surface system is designed to be laid onto the following bases –
- Up to 12mm stone no-fines concrete or open-textured bit mac
- MOT Type 1 stone (surfaces with a thickness of 50mm or more)
- Existing tarmac or concrete, subject to being in good condition
- Other existing surfaces/bases, subject to preparation in accordance with Wicksteed’s specific recommendations
Material
Wet Pour rubber safety surfacing is recycled bonded rubber, mixed on-site using special equipment and laid to exacting standards. The base layer is SBR (Styrene Butadiene Rubber). The top layer is recycled EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Di Monomer). Virgin rubber can be supplied if requested.
